Tom Whitehead is a classically trained chef who received a Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu in London. The Grande Diplome is a combination of the Diplôme de Cuisine and Diplôme de Pâtisserie. Tom has extensive experience as an Instructor and has worked as private chef, catering chef as well as a traveling chef. Tom also created a unique catering concept called Buckaroo Cordon Blu. He provides Chuck Wagon Style food with a French flair, all cooked and served in an authentic old west style wagon, for outdoor weddings and events.
Tom believes the best way to learn solid cooking techniques is through hands-on cooking classes with lots of demonstrations. Also since most modern cooking is based on French cooking techniques once you learn the fundamentals you will be able to apply them to any cuisine of the world. Tom’s personal preference is for simple, basic, classic meals and wants nothing more than to share his knowledge with the students that visit The Charlottesville Cooking School.
