This hands-on camp, offering children an introduction to the culinary world, will be held 5 consecutive mornings, Monday-Friday from 9:30-12:30. Campers will learn kitchen fundamentals (basic knife skills, measuring, mixing, following recipes, and kitchen safety) while being introduced to new foods from around the world. Each year we explore a different theme, highlighting similar culinary traditions shared by many cultures. We cook with fresh fruits and vegetables from our area, emphasizing the benefits of using seasonal local produce. Campers will prepare and eat a full lunch and snack every day. At the end of the week, they will receive a packet of recipes that are easily replicated at home.
